The Charlottesville Pitch Competition

presented by Governor Terry McAuliffe and Village Capital

Virginia Velocity Tour concludes its day in Charlottesville with a pitch competition, featuring our 6 finalists in the Food and Agriculture industries. 

The event will kick off with a Fireside Chat, featuring Senator Mark Warner. Afterwards, we will allow our finalists to pitch their hearts out, in pursuit of the grand prize: a $25,000 equity-free grant.


Join us for the final event of our Charlottesville tour, and stick around after the pitch competition for the Tom Tom Fall Block Party just across the street at Lee Park.

Virginia Velocity Tour

This fall, the Virginia Velocity Tour bus will travel the Commonwealth to recruit, support, and celebrate the entrepreneurs building Virginia’s 21st century economy. The tour will highlight the distinct strengths and economic advantages of cities across the Commonwealth, provide Virginia entrepreneurs with access and connections to help scale their businesses, and award $125,000 in equity-free grants over the course of five public pitch competitions.
